Gingis
Academy of Music
located in downtown Los Gatos,
provides a complete, well-rounded primary and secondary
music education rarely found outside a college music
department. The curriculum includes private as well as group
instrumental and voice lessons, solfege, ear and rhythmic
training, history and literature of music, chamber music,
composition, jazz improvisation, percussion ensembles and
conducting. This training is enhanced by opportunities to
participate in recitals, jury evaluations and
internationally recognized certifications at various
difficulty levels.
Our most
promising students are given numerous opportunities to
perform with local symphony orchestras and enter national
and international music competitions and festivals.
Gingis Academy
of Music is inspired by the highest standards of music
schools in Russia, known throughout the world for their
in-depth and challenging curriculum. These schools produced
many international stars of the concert stage including
Vladimir Ashkenazi, Mstislav Rastropovich, and Yevgeny
Kissin.
Gingis Academy of Music has a
highly professional, dedicated faculty of internationally
known musicians from United States, Russia, Europe and
Asia. Our instructors are committed to inspiring young
musicians to reach their full potential. On a regular basis,
we feature free recitals open to the public.
Scholarships are offered to winners of the Gingis
Academy of Music Annual Competition.
