The Gingis Academy, founded by Nataly and Anna Gingis, offers a challenging and rewarding curriculum for both beginners and professionals. The academy is committed to helping students excel and develop a deep understanding, appreciation, and love for music that will stay with them throughout their lives.
Dr. Nataly Gingis, who has served as a university piano department chair for over 20 years, is the author of numerous musicology and methodology books and articles dedicated to the works of Schumann, and Debussy. With over 50 years of teaching experience, she has taught hundreds of students, many of whom have won national and international competitions. Nataly is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California and the Music Teachers National Association, and she frequently serves as an adjudicator for local competitions and festivals.
Anna Gingis, MM, is a highly decorated musician who has won many prestigious awards throughout her career. She won the Silver Medal in the Open Music Competition in 1990, the Gold Medals in the National Concerto and National Bach Competitions in 1991, the Silver Medal in the US Open Music Competition in 1993, the Gold Medal in the California Youth Symphony Competition in 1995, the Gold Medal in the Grand Piano National Competition in 1995, and the Laureate of Bengalli International Competition in Italy in 2000. She also won the Gold Medal in the Redwood Symphony Orchestra Piano Competition in 2002.
Anna has been a member of the Young Artist Guild since 1994 and has toured extensively. At the age of twelve, she made her orchestral debut and has since performed as a soloist with the Jerusalem City Orchestra, the Redwood City Orchestra, the South Valley Symphony Orchestra, and the California Youth Symphony Orchestra. Her performances have been reviewed by the San Jose Mercury News, the Jerusalem Times, the Los Altos Town Crier, and the Palo Alto Weekly. Anna’s recordings include the KNIV “Grand Piano,” the Redwood Symphony Orchestra, and the South Valley Symphony Orchestra, which have been broadcast on TV throughout the United States.
Anna is a member of the Music Teachers Association of California, the Music Teachers National Association, and the California Association of Professional Music Teachers, and she is an active adjudicator for the American College of Musicians National Evaluations, the Music Teachers Association of California Evaluations and Competitions, as well as other national and international competitions.
